Core & Pelvic Floor Series

My Core & Pelvic Floor Series is an umbrella term to encompass all of the physical techniques I’ve learned to address women’s abdominal & pelvic health. Every woman is different, so every session is a little different based on what your body is telling me.

This is for every woman, but can especially help with things like painful periods, congested pelvis, hormone issues like PCOS, endometriosis, irregular cycles, post-abdominal or pelvic surgery, pelvic floor pain, pain with sex, and more. Read below to find out if it can help you.

How does it work?

Start with the initial session, and from there we will create a plan based on your wants and needs. I don’t believe in taking advantage of you as a forever client who needs to see me regularly. Ideally, our short series will set you up for success, and you’ll only need to come back for a tune-up every once in a while after you’ve reached your goals. I’d expect to have 3-5 sessions very close together, and you’ll be a free bird from there.

Start Here: Initial Appointment

The first session Includes a health history followed by a craniosacral therapy session to get a feel for where your body is now. We cover how you’re feeling, what you’ve already tried, what your top 3 goals are, and make a plan from there. I’m here with an ear, a love of anatomy and massage, and a complete fascination with women’s hormone physiology.

I understand I’m mainly working on areas of your body you may not have the best relationship with, and I don’t take that privilege lightly. You are in control the whole time, and even if you’re okay with something, I’m also going to be listening to your body language. I never push the body to heal faster and integrate before it’s ready.

Level 1: Craniosacral Therapy

(We may skip this and move to Level 2 depending on how receptive your body was to the initial session)

Craniosacral therapy uses osteopathic techniques to work with the bones, organs, muscles, and connective tissue. A Level 1 session is sort of like putting the primer on before you paint, it’s imperative to how well all future sessions advance. My hands are very sensitive, and using these techniques I’m able to feel into your body and allow bones to move back into alignment, and release long head restrictions in your body that have prevented full function and mobility. Though the techniques are so light it may not feel like I’m doing anything, you’ll be amazed when you get off the table at how different you feel. This gentle work is the deepest work I do.

Level 2: Holistic Abdominal Balancing

The foundation of this work is rooted in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy. It generally includes a massage from below your rib cage to just above your pubic bone and is balanced out with a back massage primarily focused on along your spine, your low back, and your glutes. You can schedule a 60, 75, or 90-minute session.

This abdominal massage is great if you have:

  • a goal to become pregnant now or in the next year

  • scar tissue, endometriosis, adenomyosis, or fibroids

  • painful periods, irregular cycles, PCOS, or ovarian cysts

  • frequent UTI’s or Bladder Infections

  • low back/ hip/ knee pain

  • Emotional trauma

  • Lack of connection to self

Level 3: Holistic Pelvic Balancing

This internal vaginal work is heavily influenced by my studies with Tami Lynn Kent (author of Wild Feminine, Wild Creative, and Mothering From Your Center), and Lynn Shulte. During the session, you lay on the massage table covered, and I sit next to you. We talk throughout the entire session. There is no external stimulation, and nothing about the scenario has any sexual connotations. You are in charge, and we can stop at any time. If we do this, it’s only ever on the third or fourth session after we have planned it.

The benefits are endless, but especially help with:

  • Clearing pelvic congestion

  • Organ prolapse/ pelvic heaviness

  • Urinary dysfunction including frequency/urgency/leakage/ repeat infections

  • Hemorrhoids

  • Vaginal gas

  • Pain with intercourse

  • Facilitating core energy flow & creative wellness

  • to restore pelvic muscle balance & engagement

  • Increase sexual health, libido, and orgasm

  • support transition to menopause & long term vaginal health

  • Enhance and support fertility

  • Postpartum healing (including years after birth.)

  • Heal traumatic or difficult birth

  • Scar tissue from tears or episiotomy

  • Support healing of miscarriage or birth loss

  • Reduce UTI’s

  • Encourage self-care & root wisdom

  • Create an embodies feminine & authentic masculine.

Do you have to do the full series?

After working with hundreds of women, I found that this order makes how far your body progresses the easiest. I used to just offer the abdominal work or pelvic work on the first session, but some people really couldn’t handle it. Here’s a few examples of things that I saw: Maybe they:

  • were so tense and stressed while I was trying to massage their abdomen or pelvic floor that they never relaxed, and I spent the entire 60/75/90 minutes just trying to sink in a little.

  • had so much sexual trauma or shame that they could barely handle being touched.

  • had a history of surgeries and they spent the neck day feeling like they were hit by a bus with all of the old anesthesia released.

  • run so anxious that to give up an ounce of control sends their body into a panic attack.

  • get severe cramps from tissues being released.

  • never actually come in. This one is a real bummer to me, they want to come in, but it seems too vulnerable so they just cancel and I never hear from them again. I see this primarily with the pelvic floor work.

People think two things when one of the above happens, either 1) this work is bad, or 2) that it doesn’t work. That’s a real bummer because it’s so helpful and it does work, so I created this intro series so your body feels safe and receptive, and so I can make sustainable change.
